Rental Policies

Rental Policies & Requirements

At 614 Drive, we aim to make renting a vehicle simple, transparent, and hassle-free. Please review our core rental policies prior to booking your vehicle.

1. Driver Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Drivers must be 21 years of age or older with a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
  • License Verification: A valid physical driver’s license must be presented at the time of pickup or delivery. Digital licenses, photos, or temporary permits without proper official backing are not accepted.
  • Additional Drivers: Any secondary drivers must meet all age/license criteria and be approved on the rental agreement prior to taking key custody.

2. Payment & Security Deposit

  • Payment Methods: Major credit cards and debit cards are accepted for booking.
  • Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit (typically $250 – $500) will be held on your payment card during the rental period to cover potential tolls, incidental charges, or fuel adjustment fees.
  • Deposit Refund: Deposits are released immediately following a post-trip vehicle inspection, provided the car is returned in its original condition.

3. Mileage Limits & Travel Boundaries

  • Daily Mileage: Every rental includes 200 free miles per day (calculated cumulatively over your rental period). Additional miles are billed at $0.35/mile.
  • Geographic Limits: Vehicles may be driven anywhere within the contiguous United States. Out-of-state travel is permitted, but driving across international borders (Canada/Mexico) is strictly prohibited.

4. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are provided with a full tank (or a documented level) of gas at pickup.
  • Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level to avoid a refueling convenience fee ($10 fee + cost of fuel).

5. Cleanliness & Vehicle Rules

  • NO SMOKING: Smoking or vaping of any substance inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A minimum $250 detailing fee will be assessed if smoke odor or residue is detected.
  • Pets: Pets are welcome, but vehicles must be returned free of pet hair, mud, or stains to avoid a cleaning fee.
  • Prohibited Uses: Off-roading, commercial towing, racing, or using the vehicle for unauthorized commercial ride-share services is strictly prohibited.
